The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by the College of Wooster on Thursday in the Foresters' final match of their Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. Freshman Ellis Lora-Arceo and sophomore John Snider posted victories for Lake Forest.
Wooster began the match by sweeping the doubles competition. The Fighting Scots won 8-5 at the top two spots in the lineup and 8-2 at #3.
Lora-Arceo was the first to finish in singles and his 6-3, 6-0 triumph at #2 gave him a 3-2 record at that position on the trip. Wooster claimed two more points at #1 and #3 singles before Snider came out on top of a 6-3, 7-5 decision at #4. Snider was a perfect 5-0 in singles and 3-2 in doubles on the week. The Scots also won at #5 and #6 to close out the match.
Lake Forest is now 5-8 on the season and Wooster 5-3.
The Foresters' first matches after returning from the trip are scheduled to be played at Illinois College on Saturday, March 22. Lake Forest will take on the hosts at 9:00 a.m. and Webster University at noon.
