Foresters Finish 8th in Respective Races at MWC Championships
The Lake Forest College men's and women's cross country teams each placed 8th in their respective races on Saturday at the Midwest Conference Championships at Ripon College.
Senior Amanda Glasgow (pictured right) led the Foresters as she finished 35th in the women's 6K race with a time of 24:22. Lake Forest had a total of 224 points.
Placing behind Glasgow was sophomore Viktoria Baldacci who was 39th with a time of 24:55. Freshman Katie Waskom was 49th with a time of 26:02 and freshman Jordan Hartness was 50th with a time of 26:03. Senior Kayla Ahlstrand came in 51st with a time of 26:08.
On the men's side, the Foresters had a total of 218 points in the 8K race and were led by junior Chris Wiatr (pictured right) who finished 30th with a time of 27:07. Senior Kelsey Small was the next Forester to cross the finish line at 37th (27:33) and freshman Michael Simon was 49th with a time of 28:08.
Freshman Reggie Mills was just behind Simon with a time of 28:10. Senior Pete Sullivan rounded out the Foresters with a 52nd place finish and a time of 28:15.
