The 2011 season will be the second for assistant coach Laurie Schroeder.

Schroeder helped lead the 2010 Foresters to a third-place finish in the Midwest Conference standings with a 6-3 league record. Lake Forest advanced to the four-team MWC Tournament for the first time since 2007 and three players on the team earned all-conference honors.

When Schroeder came to Lake Forest, she was no stranger to MWC volleyball. She played at league member Carroll University from 2003-06 and was a First Team All-MWC selection her senior year. She also captained the Lady Pioneers that season.

After graduating from Carroll, Schroeder served for two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at UW-La Crosse in 2007 and as an intern for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in the summer of 2008. She was the assistant coach at Wrightstown High School in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, the last two seasons and helped direct the Tigers to sectionals both years.
