Aimee Fadden, Women's Tennis
Women's tennis player Aimee Fadden was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after winning at #1 doubles and singles in a pair of Lake Forest victories.
Fadden, a sophomore, started last Thursday's 7-2 victory over visiting Ripon College with an 8-1 triumph at #1 doubles. She then defeated the Red Hawks' top singles player 6-1, 6-3.
On Sunday the Foresters hosted and defeated Knox College 6-3. Fadden and Carson edged out their opponents 9-7 at #1 doubles. Fadden's 6-4, 6-0 win at #1 singles gave the home team its fifth point, clinching the victory and a berth in the 2011 Midwest Conference Championship Tournament.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
