The Lake Forest College women's tennis team fell 9-0 at Wheaton College, the eighth-ranked team in the region, on Wednesday. It was the first of two matches on the Foresters' spring schedule.

Aimee Fadden Named Foresters' Most Valuable Player
The Lake Forest College Athletic Department held its annual Fall Sports Awards Ceremony on Sunday, December 4, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Forest. Sophomore Aimee Fadden was selected as the Forester women's tennis team's Most Valuable Player and junior Kaitlyn Martin was the squad's Most Improved Player.

The Lake Forest College women's tennis team finished sixth at the Midwest Conference Championships in Madison, Wisconsin, over the weekend. Forester freshman Gracie Mullins reached the semifinals in both singles and doubles play.

The Lake Forest College women's tennis team was defeated 5-0 by St. Norbert College in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Championship Tournament on Friday. Freshman Gracie Mullins and junior Kaitlyn Martin took the Green Knights to a tiebreaker at #3 doubles.

Midwest Conference Tournament Preview
The Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Championship Tournaments will take place this weekend. The Foresters are the South Division's #2 seed and will take on St. Norbert College in the semifinals of Friday's team tourney in Rockford, Illinois. Madison, Wisconsin, is the site of the doubles tournament on Saturday and singles play on Sunday.

Fueled by strong play in all three of its doubles matches, the Lake Forest women's tennis team defeated Ripon 7-2 on Tuesday. The Foresters won all of their doubles matches and four of six singles in the victory.

Foresters Return to Campus after Difficult Weekend
The Lake Forest College women's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by Cornell College and 6-3 by host Augustana College on Saturday. The Foresters then opened the Midwest Conference South Division portion of their schedule with a 9-0 loss to Grinnell College on Sunday. Lake Forest senior Nonie Carson split her six matches on the weekend.

The Lake Forest College women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Carroll University before defeating Mount Mary College 8-1 at home on Saturday. Sophomore Aimee Fadden prevailed 6-1, 6-1 at the top spot in the singles lineup against Mount Mary.

Foresters Begin 2011-12 with a Victory
Women's tennis was the College's first sport to compete in 2011-12 and the team pulled away for a 6-3 victory at Wisconsin Lutheran College Monday night. Senior Nonie Carson was one of two Foresters to win twice on the evening and her triumph at #2 singles put the visitors ahead to stay.

Michael Raymond Named Foresters' Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach
Lake Forest College Athletic Director Jackie Slaats announced that Michael Raymond would be taking over as head coach of the College's women's and men's tennis programs. Raymond replaces Jason Box, who recently resigned to accept a similar position at Millsaps College.
