68 Foresters Named Academic All-Midwest Conference
The Midwest Conference announced its Academic All-MWC honorees for 2011-12 on Wednesday. Lake Forest College had 68 student-athletes in 13 sports listed.

Sam Schuring Named Foresters' Most Valuable Player Again
The Lake Forest College Athletic Department held its annual Winter Sports Awards Ceremony on Sunday, March 25, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Forest. Among the many awards given out were plaques for each sport's Most Valuable and Most Improved Performers. Junior point guard Sam Schuring was named the Most Valuable Player of the Forester women's basketball team and freshman guard Jenna Rice was selected as the squad's Most Improved Player.

The Midwest Conference released its postseason awards for women's basketball on Wednesday and Lake Forest had a pair of players listed. Junior point guard Sam Schuring was a First Team selection and junior forward Liz Radtke was named to the Second Team.

Lake Forest Defeated by Monmouth in MWC Tournament Semifinals
The Forester women's basketball team fell 76-62 to Monmouth College in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament at St. Norbert College Friday evening. Freshman guard Abby Wiedman led Lake Forest with 18 points on six three-pointers in the contest.

Foresters Headed to St. Norbert College for MWC Women's Basketball Tourney
The Lake Forest College women's basketball team is the #3 seed in the 2012 Midwest Conference Tournament and will face Monmouth College at 5:00 Friday evening. Carroll University will take on host St. Norbert College in the second semifinal at 7:00 and Saturday's final will tip off at 3:00 p.m.

In the highest-scoring game in program history, the Lake Forest College women's basketball team defeated visiting Knox College 116-104 Wednesday evening. The victory also clinched a spot for the Foresters in next weekend's four-team Midwest Conference Tournament.

The Lake Forest College women's basketball team hosted and defeated Grinnell College 62-58 on Saturday. The Foresters held the Pioneers to just 22 second-half points and freshman Danielle Canulli led the home team with 15 points, including five in the final minute of the game.

Four Individuals Inducted into Forester Athletic Hall of Fame
The Lake Forest College Athletic Hall of Fame added four members on Saturday as part of the College's annual Homecoming festivities. This year's induction class included players from three different sports as well as a 14-year coach at the College.
