The United Soccer Coaches announced the 2017 NCAA Division III All-Region Teams on Tuesday and Lake Forest College's Elyas Ingram was among the honorees.
Ingram, a senior forward, was a Second Team All-North Region selection. He moved to forward a third of the way into the season after spending the last two years as a defender. He led the 2017 Foresters with seven assists and tied for the team lead with 19 points, despite missing three games due to injury. Three of his six goals on the season were game-winners and he finished his career ranked third in program history with 28 assists.
It was the Ingram's second straight appearance on the all-region teams, having been named Second Team All-North last season. He is also a four-time All-Midwest Conference honoree with three first team accolades.
The Foresters were 12-7-1 overall and 7-2-0 in MWC play this season. They made their sixth consecutive appearance in the four-team MWC Tournament and won the event for the third time in the last four seasons. Lake Forest advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in program history.
