Lake Forest Sweeps MWC Performer of the Week Awards
Forester men's soccer players Jordan Hartman and Giancarlo Colasanti were named Midwest Conference Offensive and Defensive Performers of the Week, respectively, on Monday. They helped Lake Forest record a 1-0-1 week to remain unbeaten on the season.
The Foresters played to a 1-1 tie with visiting University of Dubuque on Tuesday. Hartman gave the Foresters the early lead with his second goal of the season nine minutes and 13 seconds into the contest. Colasanti limited the fourth-ranked team in the region to just one goal and made five saves in the game.
Lake Forest hosted and feated Illinois College 4-0 on Saturday in the conference opener for both teams. Hartman assisted on two of the four goals and Colasanti recorded his second shutout of the season.
Hartman currently ranks fourth on the team with eight points on two goals and four assists. Colasanti is 6-0-1 with a 0.70 goals against average.
