Rock Climbing
The Lake Forest College Rock Climbing Club is a recreational club for climbers of all experience levels. The group travels to various venues on random Saturdays throughout the year. Members purchase a day pass and climb for three to five hours. Costs range from $15 to $30 per trip, depending on site and experience level. Classes offered for beginners and equipment can be rented at all venues. Transportation costs are covered, but students pay for their climbing costs.
PARTICIPATION FEE: NO FEE, PAY FOR THE COST OF THE CLIMB
At the beginning of each semester there is an opportunity for interested students to sign up for any club sport at what is called the Involvement Fair. If a student decides to come to Lake Forest he/she can attend the Fair in the fall and/or spring and sign up for a club sport then. The Fair takes place in or behind Commons, depending on weather, within the first two weeks of classes. First-year students do not need to do anything before arriving at Lake Forest in order to participate in club sports.
