Chris Pier joined the Forester staff in 1995 and was promoted to her current position of Operations Director for Budget and Compliance in 2012. She was also on the coaching staff of the College's women's tennis team from 1996-2009 (head coach from 1996-98 and 2008-09) and the softball team from 1996-2004 (head coach in 1996). she helped lead the tennis team to conference championships in 1999 and 2003 and the softball team to league titles in 2002, 2003, and 2004. She was a member of the 2002 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III Coaching Staff of the Year.

Pier came to Lake Forest after seven years of experience as an assistant softball and basketball coach at Lawrence University.

Pier received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from St. Norbert College in 1987. She was an all-conference performer in both softball and basketball and participated in eight conference tournaments during her collegiate career.

Pier is a member of both the St. Norbert College and St. Mary Central (WI) High School Halls of Fame.

She resides in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
