Inside or out, the Forester men's tennis team will host three Midwest Conference matches this weekend.

Lake Forest defeated Principia College 5-4 and host Illinois Institute of Technology 8-1 last Saturday to improve to 7-6 on the year. The Foresters are also 1-0 in league matches with three more scheduled for this weekend. Saturday's contest against visiting Knox College (0-7, 0-0 MWC) has already been moved inside to the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff and the weather for Sunday does not look good, meaning that matches against Monmouth College (2-8, 0-0 MWC) and Illinois College (3-4, 0-0 MWC) might also be played indoors.

UPDATE: Sunday's matches have been moved indoors. Lake Forest vs. Monmouth at Racine Tennis Club at 9:00 a.m. Lake Forest vs. Illinois College at Raquet Club of Lake Bluff at 4:30 p.m.

The weekend weather forecast for a few hours south of Lake Forest also looks to be less than ideal for the Forester men's golf team, which will compete in the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational on Friday and Saturday. It will be Lake Forest's first appearance at the highly-competitive event, which included 21 teams a year ago. Lake Forest placed third out of 18 teams at last weekend's Jim Wetherbee Memorial Invitational in Galesburg, Illinois.

The Forester women's team prevailed 7-2 at Elmhurst College on Saturday for its program record 18th victory against just two losses this season. The team is scheduled to host Judson University (10-3) on Friday and matches against Marian University (9-6) and North Park University (3-10) at nearby Deerpath Middle School on Saturday.

UPDATE: Friday's match against Judson Univrsity has been cancelled. Saturday's matches have been moved indoors to the Four Lake Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wis.

Not surprisingly, the forecast for the next handful of days in the northern half of Wisconsin is also unfavorable, putting the Forester softball team's conference doubleheader at St. Norbert College on Saturday in jeopardy. Lake Forest split a pair of games with visiting University of Wisconsin-Stout last Saturday and is now 13-7 overall this spring. The Foresters are also 2-0 in the MWC ahead of their games at St. Norbert (4-10, 0-0 MWC) and Sunday's doubleheader at home against Lawrence University (6-10, 0-0 MWC).

The Forester track team will also be in action on Saturday at the Benedictine University Invitational. A select few members of the squad made the trip to Washington Univrsity in St. Louis last Friday for the WashU Invitational "Distance Carnival," which included well over 400 runers competing in the 5,000 meter run and 10,000 meter run. It was the first outdoor meet for Lake Forest varsity track since 1973.
