John Adams, Men's Tennis
Men's tennis player John Adams was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after winning in both singles and doubles play against Wabash College the previous Saturday.
Adams, a sophomore, began the match by teaming with senior Elliot Muth for an 8-5 victory at the top spot in the doubles lineup. It was their sixth consecutive victory and raised their record on the season to a team-best 9-2.
Adams also leads the squad with a 9-2 singles record in 2011. After falling 6-3 in the first set at #3 singles on Saturday, he won the second set 6-2 and the third-set tiebreak 10-2 to claim the victory.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Adams also earned the award twice last season.
